many things competently. Dato' Jimmy Choo is a versatile entrepreneur. He is a
known shoes' entrepreneur and the talents in making shoes was inherited by his
own father, who was a full time shoemaker.

London, and also the “ Order of the British Empire ” by Queen Elizabeth II in
2002 and he was the first Malaysian to be awarded the great award.
1.4
DECISIVE
Ray Kroc
Decisive is means being
“characterized by firmness and decision.” Being decisive is that you have the
ability to decide and act. Leadership requires that you are able to make
decisions effectively. Decisiveness does not mean being stubborn, arrogant or
hasty. Decisiveness is simply the ability to decide with speed and clarity. In
any situation the ability to decide is crucial. Whether it is with an emergency
room doctor or the high school graduate debating what to do with her life,
without clear decisions there can be no action and no results.
Kroc is proud, ambitious and he
strives to excel, stand out and be recognized for who and what he is. Ray Kroc
has a very high ego and likes to be number one. He finds it difficult to take
orders from others or to stay in the background, and he hates being wrong and
assume himself is always right in everything. Kroc frequently meets a
tremendous amount of resistance whenever he wants to assert himself in a
decisive way, or do something just for himself. This resistance comes in the
form of self-doubt, fear, or a heavy sense of responsibility to others as well
as practical and circumstantial limitations. When initiating a project or
acting independently, Ray Kroc may tell himself that he is not really prepared,
or
that he is not good enough and puts a lot of
pressure on himself. Despite the obstacles, he can accomplish a lot in a
patient. However, he is apt to aim too low, and not realize how much
he is truly capable of. He
responds quickly and spontaneously to challenges, and enjoys vigorous physical
activities that require fast reflexes and a good sense of rhythm and timing.
1.5 TIME
COMPETENCE
Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al- Bukhary
This time competency means that a time management that one or each of the entrepreneur should have to make their work and business successful. Managing a good time between important and not very important things must be decide and planning thoroughly to avoid a misunderstanding and unfair treat from others and own work and privacy. This traits can be seen in life of Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Bukhary as an entrepreneur from his starting point. He manage to control and overcome everything that happen around him and managing his time to do all kind of things that happen around him.
Because of his family's poor background, he had to step into the working world in his early life, while pursuing his primary and secondary studies. He helped his mother planting and selling vegetables in the market and also selling ‘roti canai’. His numeric knowledge was used to help his father in doing daily book keeping. After finishing his school, he helped his father in breeding cow business but only to see the business washed away by foot and mouth disease. Besides, he took over the business and start over by selling meats. Then, he move on to packaging the meats and start selling them wholesale. His determination paid off and the business started to take off. His determination starting to skyrocket, he quickly moved to expand into diversification of other businesses. His next big move was in the logistics business, with initial goal to transport their trading materials. More success followed and he moved to rice trading business. All the this things that he has done related how he control and manage his time efficiently without left anything behind especially his education while starting his job early time.
1.6 PERCEPTIVENESS
Gerald Spencer
Perceptiveness traits that each
entrepreneur have means that the ability see things that happen around us and
do something upon them to make better result than what would have been. It is very valuable characteristic
to have. This is because it influence to other entrepreneur traits. It is
important because can minimizes laziness and selfishness among entrepreneur
itself. To be a perceptiveness ones must realize that this world not only care
our own needs and pleasure but also others people needs. Besides ones must
doing and help others without being asked and try thinks that you see and
understand what they need and want without they told you. As an entrepreneurs,
they do not avoid problems that comes to them for sure. Instead, when faced
with problems, they welcome them as opportunities or challenges.
This incident happen when a Canadian
soft-drink manufacturer is Cott Corporation started out their legacy, they had
to face some problem. How could it hope to compete their business with Coke and
Pepsi which are known as the two giants in the soft-drink industry? Gerald
Pencer is entrepreneur as well as become Cott's entrepreneurial CEO, was very
perceptive. Research indicated that soft drinks were one of the biggest selling
items in supermarkets. He decided to develop Cott as a private label bottler
and start trying to do Cott contracted with supermarkets and other retail
stores to manufacture a variety of soft drinks that could be packaged under the
retailer's brand, such as President's Choice at Loblaws or Master Choice at
A&P. Cott's product challenged Coke and Pepsi by developing a whole new
method of distribution one that allowed retailers to make more profits by
offering consumers a much cheaper soft drink. Today, Cott is the fourth largest
beverage manufacturer in the world.
1.7 ABILITY TO LEARN FROM MISTAKES
Generally, ability to learn
from mistakes is when someone able to learn from his/her mistakes and makes it
better. From business perspectives, the ability to learn from mistakes is
important for an entrepreneur in order for them to be successful. Entrepreneurs
will fail more times than they will care to count they accept failure as a
learning opportunity and forge ahead. For entrepreneurs, reaching overnight
success is rare making disappointments part of their regular activities.
There
is one entrepreneur that we can related to which is Leo Laporte. Leo Laporte is
the founder and the owner of the TWiT Netcast Network (TWiT.TV). TWiT TV was
founded by technology broadcaster and author Leo Laporte and run by CEO Lisa
Kentzell and News Director, Mike Elgan. The network began operation in April
2005 with the launch of “This Week in Tech”, and continues to host that show
and others on the network. He also directs the network as a whole, hiring
staff, originating new shows, and approving all advertising.
Technically,
everything looks perfect but an entrepreneur cannot be successful if they do
not learn from his/her past. He admit that his biggest mistake when running
TWiT TV was when he is trying to do it all by himself. As a founder, he felt
like he knew everything he needed to know about media, content, even the
technology involved to reach his audience. He just didn’t know anything at all
about business: finance, marketing, advertising, and human resources.
After
a few years of rapid growth his company had stalled out, and he was spending
more time fighting fires than he was doing the stuff he loved (and that made
money). Then, he learned from his mistakes by hiring a business partner then
giving her full scope to do her job a little like giving up his company but it
was a vital step to success
1.8 ETHICAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Ethical awareness is the willingness and ability to identify moral and
ethical contexts and dilemmas; critically examine, assess, and/or change one’s
own ethical values; and examine the implications of one's own behavior for the
lives of others.
Systematic consideration
of ethical principles requires us to adopt and employ a set of “should” and
“should not” that define moral duty and virtue.
Piktochart, a
web application that helps people with no design experience to create beautiful
info graphics, a popular medium to share information on the web. Within 8 weeks
after its start-up in 2011, Piktochart had 15,000 accounts, 10,000 info
graphics created and saved, and 200 Pro users. Today it has over 400, 000 users
and count Harvard University, Cornell University, Deloitte, World Wildlife
Fund, Marriott, Red Bull and General Electric amongst their Pro users.
Piktochart was the grand winner of the Silicon Valley Comes To Malaysia (SVC2M)
2011-12 events.
The 27-year-old
Ai Ching, who cofounded the company with her husband Andrea Zaggia. At first,
she was very fascinated with tech start-ups but had no business ideas in mind.
Both of them loved design and had great designers. When they saw the idea of info
graphic was going to become a permanent trend and there was no info graphic
editor out there, they wanted to create one that people can use.
The reasons she start the Piktochart
was that she wants to change the mindsets of Malaysian. She thought that
Malaysian in general were not as hungry or as lean compared with some foreign
talents. They are not able to think outside of the box and seem to have pessimism
attitude. Along with this, she hopes to see more start-ups as well as build
more sustainable businesses that will exist for a long time. Well, it can be
seen that Ai Ching is showing integrity in doing business. She strives to serve
customers and consumers with honest, avoiding the actions of taking advantage
on unawareness and human weaknesses.
1.9 FORESIGHT /
FORECAST
Foresight generally means predict or estimate the future.
In business perspectives, foresight means that an entrepreneur is able to see
clearer his/her business will be placed in future. Technically, in business,
forecasting is used where it begins with certain assumptions. It does not
provide you an exact situations that will occur but it will help give you a
general idea. However, this will provide you with a sense of direction which
will allow your company to grow.
Lawrence
“Larry” page (born March 26, 1973) is an American computer scientist and
internet entrepreneur who cofounded Google Inc. With Sergey Brin and is the
corporation’s current CEO. In 1998, Brin and Page incorporated Google Inc. With
the initial name of “Googol”-this represented the amount of data that the
search engine was intended to explore. During his time as a CEO, Page attempt
to fire all of Google’s project managers in 2011.
Page
believed that the faster Google’s search engine returned answers, the more it
would be used. He pushed his engineers from those who developed algorithms to
those who build data centres to think about lag times. He also pushed for
keeping Google’s home page famously spare in its design because it would help
the search results load faster. However, two investors, Kleiner Perkins
Caufield & Byers and Sequoia Capital, agreed to invest into Google, they
pushed Page to step down from becoming a CEO. Eric Schmidt had been hired as
Chairman of Google in March 2011. Under his leadership, Google underwent major
growth, included its initial public offering (IPO). However, he always consults
with Page and Brin.
Page did
a very a good job when he believes that a very powerful search engine is when
the lag times for the search result to appear is shorter. It gives him a remark
for the ability to keep moving on until success is achieved. As a result,
today, Google has become the first search engine worldwide. Furthermore, page
remained the boss at Google in the eyes of the employees, as he gave final
approval on all new hires and provided the signature for the IPO, making him a
billionaire at the age of thirty.

2.1 INTEGRITY
AND RELIABILITY
Integrity is
consistency between one’s actions, values, methods, measures and principles.
Meanwhile, reliability is the ability of a person or system to perform and
maintain its functions in routine circumstances, as well as hostile or
unexpected circumstances. This integrity and reliability are very important to
entrepreneur because it allow them to build the confident and trust in the
stakeholders. This is because, if the entrepreneur have the bad integrity it
will affect the company. Other than that, entrepreneur should be confident to
speak in front of people and generate the new idea even there may have people
that against the idea. For example, Dato’ Aliff Syukri the founder of D’Herbs
product. His products is 100 percent ingredients from herbs and also affordable
for everyone to have it compared to other health products in the market. Moreover,
D’Herbs product also can be found for as low as RM15 concentration of people in

centers D’Herbs itself. In fact, his products are produced in its own factory
which Aliff Herbs Manufacturing Sdn Bhd. and fulfil customers Because of that, Dato’
Aliff Syukri’s products is very affordable and reliable to buy.
2.2 INITIATIVE
Find alternative if we fail, not always complaining is
Dato’ Aliff Shukri trait to success in his business. To get business financing,
he his self has been going to the bank, but was rebuffed by them, although he
already made a paperwork that takes months to be done, they even underestimated
him anyway but he did not despair. But bank officials didn’t bother to approve
the loan paperwork and said he did not pass. There is also a close relative who
looks down upon him and says he will not be able to success because he just SPM
school leavers and did not study in a university. But he refused to stop. He
takes another initiative. After thinking, he finally tried to get a loan from
friends nearby and participants who had followed her beauty workshop (where he
is a lecturer invitations) anyway and the response given is very surprising.
All of them in the meeting interested and confident with his integrity to
create a brand. With their money, he made the investment. He made his initial
capital and combined with his farming business market two years hence. This
show how he used another initiative, not easily and simply gave up when meet
the challenges. Thank God, these efforts bore fruit, and became his turning
point to greater high in business. RM100,000 collected from the initial loan
and the accumulated money in farmers 'markets business results for 2 years, is
enough to help Dato' Shukri build its own brand.
2.3 VERSATILITY
In the early
stages, he had to go around the country to introduce the brand D 'Herbs. He is
the boss, drivers, salesmen, agents and marketing officer at one time. His
versatility in handling all this work made who he is today. Dato’ Aliff are
risk taker who have all gotten over one very significant hurdle. He is the
person who are not afraid of failure. That’s not to say that he rush in with
reckless abandon. In fact, Dato’ Aliff often successful because he always
calculating and able to make the best decisions in even the worst of cases and
problems. However, he also accept that, even if he make the best decision
possible, things may not goes well as he plan and sometimes the planning may
fail anyhow. Because of that, successful people is known base on their work
upon the strength they have such as interpersonal skills, selling skills, and
so on. The best skills in Dato Aliff’s personalities is the ability to pursue
others. For example, at the one interview he said, “it’s important for me to
make clear explanation and demonstration to customers, thus attracting their
attention to the goods sold.” It shows that he is concern about his customer.
No wonder he is also known as a man versatility in dealing with anyone and in
any cases.
2.4 ETHICAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Not arrogant
& always customer-friendly. Among the biggest contributors to the existence
of the company, D'Herbs is his friends who are willing to lend their nearest
and invest money at the start of his business. For Dato’ Syukri, it is their
infinite service to D'Herbs, even Dato' his self always say thank you and treat
them well, even though he already was at the peak of his success. He does not
simply forget their kindness and trust towards him and for the success of his
company. We should have know, that in life, we not always at the top, sometimes
we will experience the hardness and be at the low part in life. His warm mouth,
makes many people love and happy to hang out with him. He knows how to handle
people just by his sweet talk. Surely no one advice, that smile is calms and
smile is a symbol of friendship that persuade customers' hearts. It is because he
started from zero before drawing its own success. So he learnt a lot from the
way to his success. He experience that and learnt from it every single thing.
Ethical consciousness is very important as when people pleased with us, they
will like our product and support us.
2.5 FORESIGHT
Foresight is
the ability to predict what will be happen or be needed in the future. For an
entrepreneur foresight ability is important to make sure their business can
stay for a long time in the industry. Being an entrepreneur is much more
uncertain than paid employment where income is guaranteed. This uncertainty
covers sales and turnover, material delivery, production and many more. As a
husband and father at a young age and lived in the city, Dato’ Aliff thought he
must find a way to make extra income. Because of that, every weekend he will
make the workshop of beauty and health in the workplace, whether private or
government sectors. He also sells health and beauty products at the time of the
workshop. The price is also not expensive, everyone can buy it between RM5 to
RM10 only. The customers always preferred to buy the product with the low price.
Because of that reason, he have sell his product with affordable price because
he manage to fulfil the customer’s desire. Through the workshop conducted, he
was able to earn up to RM3000 per month. After a few month selling others
product, he make a decision to start his own brand. He fully used his all
existing saving to produce its own brand. While aware of the risk of
bankruptcy, he studying the acceptable of people about his product for several
month. After doing the survey, his company D’Healthy Herbs Sdn. Bhd. managed to
release the first lipstick collagen in Malaysia.
